Q. How does the access system at the GRIC entrance work?
To enter or leave the GRIC, a campus-approved identification card is needed.
Place the barcode of the identification card underneath the scanner at the main entrance (barcode facing up so that the red light can read it). If you have an active account, the light will change from red to green and blink once. After the light blinks, you should be able to enter the GRIC.
If the green light blinks three times, either you do not possess an active account or you don’t have a library account. If this is the case, please visit the library’s Department of Circulation to create an account.
If you still do not have access, visit the TIGER offices, located on the first floor of the south wing of the library (in the hallway underneath the GRIC).
